Education:
Ph.D.:  Nuclear Engineering, Iowa State University
MS:     Mechanical Engineering, University of North Dakota
BS:      Mechanical Engineering, University of North Dakota

Industrial Experience:
Approximately 20 years of industrial experience working primarily with electric utilities on design and operation of both fossil fueled and nuclear power plants.

Professional Registration:
North Dakota and Minnesota

Research Interests:
New developments in energy conversion processes.

Teaching Interests:
Dr. Moen’s primary teaching interests are in the general areas of thermal sciences and mechatronics. He has taught courses in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, dynamic systems analysis, mechanical measurement, mechanical engineering practice, mechanical engineering seminar, energy technology, internal combustion engines, and introduction to nuclear engineering.

Other Interests:
Dr. Moen is actively involved with development of the off-campus Distance Engineering Degree Program (DEDP).
