Professional Interests:

1. Dr. Bandyopadhyay has been an invited researcher at the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN), a national research laboratory in Japan, (ultra-precision grinding of ceramics).
2. He was a visiting research fellow at the Argonne National laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Tribology).
3. He was also a visiting researcher at ENSAM, Cluny, France (cost-effective machining of hardened steels) and a summer faculty at Cummins Engine Co. (Sub-micron Precision Grinding of Advanced Materials).
